Strawberry Martini

Time for the second installation for strawberry week! We have the delicious and refreshing STRAWBERRY MARTINI!!

Ok, so I know this drink looks a little bit like pepto bismol but trust me, it's absolutely tasty. We tried them, and decided we needed seconds since it was so yummy. Plus, it was the perfect reason to utilize the fresh strawberries I had just bought. Unfortunately, I didn't have my martini glasses at the apartment so this "martini" does not look very traditional in these pictures....

These would be great to serve your guests on a hot summers night with a nice strawberry or chocolate dessert. Enjoy this drink, and I'll be bringing you the last strawberry recipe on Friday. See you then!

Last Month: Cookie Dough Brownies

Strawberry Martini
Yields 1 martini
Ingredients:
4 strawberries, hulled, plus 1 extra to serve
2 fl oz vodka
1/2 fl oz Creme de Fraise (we used Baja Rosa)
Juice of 1/2 lime, plus a twist to serve
Ice cubes

Directions:
1) In a food processor, puree the strawberries, saving one for garnishing.
2) Put 1 tsp of puree in a martini shaker, and add vodka, Creme de Fraise, lime juice, and ice cubes. Shake well.
3) Pour into a martini glass and garnish with a small strawberry and a twist of lime. Serve cold.
